Review of Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 6

Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) new launches have caused a revolution in the company’s sales with an impact not only on the media but also on the smartphone market. All eyes were on the company last month with its launch. Below the iPhone 6 is characterized with detailed comments regarding its features.

The company did an excellent job on the feel and sleekness of the iPhone 6. It may be the best model yet in both quality and level of robustness with slight curves in the edges and the visibility of the aluminum chassis and glass. The phone is slim with thickness of 6.9mm.

Not many phones reach the 7mm barrier but Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) achieved this record. Not only is the smartphone thin but it is also extremely light with just 129g. There is no compromise whatsoever in the functioning of the phone with its thinness. It’s perfect for everyday use with an easy to use screen.

The phone’s power button is to the right close to the SIM card area. The charging port is to the bottom along with the speaker with volume controls and speaker mute button on the left. However, everything has its cons. The phone doesn’t make for a very strong grip as its metal and glass make it quite slippery for consumer use.

Cases can rectify the issue but isn’t that just another additional cost? Another area of insolence is the chassis with the lens of the camera protruding a bit around a millimeter. This doesn’t really stay in synergy with the phones sleek cuts and design.

The battery of the phone is only 1,810mAh (6.9Wh) which may not even go beyond a day for consumers who are power hungry. However, credit should be given where due; the standby time isn’t bad with 250 hours. This battery life is better than that of iPhone 5s though.

The other con may be the length of the phone. The screen size isn’t as big as rivals phones with the overall length of the phone too much of an upgrade. The resolution of Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) new smartphone may be more than previous ones but its pixel density remains the same as that of the iPhone 5s.

Contrary to belief, there is no sapphire glass present that helps the screen from breakages instead only ion strengthened glass prevails which is the industry standard. The screen size helps fit in six rows of apps in one screen which may also be pulled to the middle by double tapping the home screen. This may aid people with smaller hands that can access the whole screen as once with ease.

The phone has touch ID fingerprint handling which requires an initial process of pressing the chosen finger nail to the screen pad multiple times. The resolution of the front as well as the rear cameras are with 1.2 and 8 megapixels respectively. However, an improvement in the autofocus speed was made. Overall Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) did a pretty good job.
