Order the New Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) Model X Today and Don’t See It Till 2016

Rumor has it that Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) recently cleared all doubts and made a statement that the Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) Model X won’t be delivered till the third quarter next year. Regardless of the fact that orders have already reached to 20,000. This points towards the fact that the wait is pretty long for those who have already placed there orders and it’s much worse for consumers who are thinking of placing their orders. The backlog is already massive and future orders are expected to take you to the far end of the queue.

This is in fact the second time, that Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) has sent out a letter announcing the Model X’s delay. The letters were dispatched to all the customers who have already preordered a Model X. The letter informed customers that Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) will be the first ever electric vehicle with towing facility and also that they can expect to have their ride in the third quarter of 2016.

The design of Model X is a blend of an SUV and minivan and is an electric car. It artfully enhances the driver’s luxury experience with brilliant performance and functionality. The prototype revealed on February 9, 2012 showed a ground breaking vehicle. The electric car didn’t only offer 60 kWh or 85 kWh battery, but also a dual motor, another impressive feature is the Falcon Wings. Terming them doors might not do justice to the Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) design department. The wings open up in the narrowest of parking spots and allow passengers to step in. The driver seat offers a stylish combination of premium interior surfaces along with panoramic glass. As well as Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) Touchscreen that provides access to information and the entertainment system. Last but not the least, Model X doesn’t use a drop of gasoline. Not only do they reduce emissions while doing their part for the environment, but also offers an enjoyable driving experience.

At this stage, the reason stated for the delay is standing by its principle of producing a much better product than the prototype, as it did with the Model S. The letter further promised that the actual vehicle will be designed, well-engineered from the interior to the falcon wing.

They showed their appreciation for the record breaking orders they keep receiving and explained how 2015 is the year of building and testing production prototypes. By Q3, the cars will be ready for delivery in North America and for the new orders coming in now, the delivery would be by the end of 2016. The letter further revealed that beta versions are being tested for crashes and aerodynamic qualities. The car also comes with tow features, the first of its kind. The tow hitch can be used to support accessories as well as transport skis and bikes.

The long wait can easily be disregarded if the resultant product is up to the mark. Anticipations are sky high, but whether the car reaches customer satisfaction levels or not, only time will tell.
