Mid of 2014 is the Expected Arrival Time of iPhone 6 by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) – Chris Caso
In the new research note by Chris Caso, an analyst at Susquehanna Financial Group, Apple’s iPhone 6 might enter the market in the mid of 2014; the new iPhone is expected to have a better and bigger display and an even quicker processor along with a higher price.
Caso also said that the policy was changed by Apple when it launched its iPhone 5c and iPad mini second generation. Previously Apple would introduce a product of next generation at the same price as its predecessor and reduce the prices of its older models. However, this time Apple released its iPhone 5s in September and instead of lowering the prices of its older models it introduced 5c at a lower price range. Retina display iPad mini was launched in October at a price of $399 whereas its previous model was priced at $329.
Features of iPhone 6 would include a better display and bigger screen size that would make it a direct competitor of Google’s Android phablets or phone-tablets. Galaxy S4 by Samsung also has a bigger display screen of 5 inches whereas the Galaxy Note 3 comes with a 5.7 inches display screen. The 5 series of iPhone has a smaller screen size of 4 inches.
Caso says that iPhone 6 is going to be a sleek model with a thin body and a narrow frame or bezel. The smartphone will feature the advance LTE wireless and an upgraded processor, A8. iPhone 5s has a 28-nanometer process A7 chip.
Apple’s new iPhones will come with a display screen of 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch accompanied with improved and curved glass sensors. It is expected that iPhone 6 may have display cover of human-made sapphire crystal. This material will be thinner and stronger as compared to hardened glass from Corning being used by Apple currently.
