The famous and trendy Candy Crush developers King Digital Entertainment (NYSE:KING) will soon launch a new version of the Candy Crush Saga series; the Candy Crush Soda Saga. Like all the other version of the series this game is also believed to be more challenging and fun than the previous versions. The next sequel will definitely give some notable boost to King’s (NYSE:KING) market and sales. This new version was first released on Facebook, while the Android and iOS versions were released on 11th November.
This new addition to the category of similar puzzle games like Farm Heroes Saga, Papa Pear Saga, Pet Rescue Saga, etc will offer almost similar and highly related game play, of course with some alterations in the levels. The basic strategy behind King’s (NYSE:KING) Candy Crush Soda Saga is to manipulate three or more identical candies either vertically or horizontally in order to proceed to the next levels. You can switch soda bottles with free candy bears or maybe get more candy bears from honey and ice.
In fact, the game offers more levels after its first update and after the addition of 15 new levels the total number of levels has reached to 150. He said that the Candy Crush Soda Saga’s team is astonished after witnessing the tremendous success all over the world, since the game was launched on Facebook almost a month ago. Moreover, he added that after the release of the mobile version the game will be available for users on the go and provide users with the ultimate gaming experience. Knutsson hopes that the users find the game fun and exciting, and that the users enjoy as much as the developers did in building the game.
In order to keep users hooked to the game, King Digital Entertainment (NYSE:KING) is looking forward to releasing updates for the new game as soon as possible. Bringing up updates for the mobile platforms i.e. Facebook and iOS is the company’s top priorities. However, there is one thing that has kept King Digital a bit worried, and that is, will the new title succeed in gaining as much popularity as its sister title.
King (NYSE:KING) at present has almost 495 million active users, of which nearly 348 million user have opted for Soda Saga because of their association with Candy Crush Saga. In fact, the game has generated about $264 million in the previous quarter, while the players have willingly spent almost $790 million on in-app purchasing. However, the game is basically free to download on iTunes and Play Store, but incorporates several in-app purchases.
