The past decade has been big on smartphones. Now users wonder how we survived without them for so long. Many companies have made headway in this field; these include Apple (NASDAQ:APPL), Samsung (OTC:SSNLF), HTC, Nokia and many others. All companies have launched smartphones to cater to users of all class and they are geographically available everywhere. Not only are they user friendly but have also made life exceptionally easier for their owners, leaving the world in the user’s palm. Giving them access to maps, social networks, a wide variety of applications, readers as well as messaging platforms to keep us connected to those who matter. At this point Apple (NASDAQ:APPL) seems to have stolen the market for smartphones and its end of year figures are enough to support their win. Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) isn’t very far behind, its smartphones are also of high quality and high in demand.
In recent news it seems that Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) is planning to release another Galaxy phone with a metal design, which looks very much alike in terms of design to Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 phones. Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) itself hasn’t released any such news of an upcoming launch. But an application for a new Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) phone has surfaced on the Federal Communications Commission website. Even though the application doesn’t say much, it seems that the unreleased gadgets will fall in the A-series line. A similar application appeared days before Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) launched its Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 in October.
According to the figures submitted, it seems that it will be a large phone as the measurement reveal 150mm x 75mm indicating the phone screen will be larger than five inches with MFC and LTE connectivity. If the predictions are right, then this will be Samsung (OTC:SSNLF)’s fourth Galaxy A line phone. These are specifically known for their metal designs, which were first introduced back in August known as Galaxy Alpha. Galaxy Alpha was considered very similar to the iPhone 5 and 5s, in terms of smooth metal edges. A few months down the line, Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 were introduced.
It now seems that the metal design is Galaxy’s next big thing. Its Note 4 also has similar features and upcoming versions of Galaxy S6 will also come embedded with the same.
Even though the release of the Galaxy A7 is no secret as a number of leaks have come into light about the high end smartphone, Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) has stayed tight lipped about it, confusing speculators if the handset will even be sold outside of Asia. After the FCC submission, it’s likely that Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) will soon make an official statement. The shift from paltry plastic to metal is has been favorable for Samsung (OTC:SSNLF), and has proven successful throughout the second half of 2014.
It’s important to take into consideration that Galaxy A-series is a separate set of gadgets from Samsung (OTC:SSNLF)’s product lines and Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) is continuing to also work on and develop its standard plastic parts as well.
