Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPhone 6 Showing Internal Misalignment
The iPhone 6 has fallen into another controversy and once again it’s related to the manufacturing of the gadget. Customers are reporting a misalignment of the front camera, and that misalignment is internal. The result is a gray crescent shape which is hardly visible but can be seen if scrutinized closely. The misalignment doesn’t affect the photo quality whatsoever but still it mares Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s integrity. News is that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is giving the customers new phones on the spot in exchange.
Whoever is facing this problem should get themselves reimbursed. This is not the first time this year that Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has come into news regarding its manufacturing defects. Initially news spread around the internet that the iPhone 6 is prone to pressure and can even bend if kept for a long time in a jeans pocket. The iPhone 6 plus, which comes with a larger screen was more vulnerable than the iPhone 6. Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) addressed the situation and reiterated that any smartphone in the market is vulnerable if pressure is applied.
Rival companies used this loophole as a leverage point and ridiculed the iPhone all over the internet. But that didn’t affect the iPhone 6 positive sales. Now with the front camera defect, people are more concerned because the front camera is used a lot more than the rear camera these days, courtesy to the selfie craze. Though the camera hasn’t shown any signs of deterioration, customers don’t want to take any chances. Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is apparently dumbfounded as to why these problems are surfacing.
The company hasn’t directly addressed the problem but is offering new phones in exchange for those that are showing the defect. This could prove to be fatal for iPhone’s reputation because it is known for its high manufacturing values and the iPhone 6 has already made enormous sales and if defects like these continue to surface there is a chance that Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) might lose customers. Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) as of now has been making great sales when it comes to the iPhone 6 but controversies like these can put Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s future projects in jeopardy.
Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) should directly address these problems and find out what is causing them. Manufacturing defects are a sign of low quality phones and Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) isn’t in a position to afford any such hiccups; being a top professional company with a reputation to uphold, it has to be certain about the manufacturing of the gadgets. Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) tends to customers that are spread globally and issues like these can hurt Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s reputation on a global level.

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) must make sure that the gadgets they are making are top notch and eligible for customer use. Or else Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) will have to face consequences and one of them would be reimbursing a hoard of angry customers. And on top of everything, the embarrassment will be overwhelming for the company that currently rules the smartphone arena.
