IPhone 6 is old news now; Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) enthusiasts are looking forward to the rumors about iPhone 7 now. Initially when iPhone 6 was in the news, it was being said that the phone’s screen will be made of sapphire glass. It didn’t turn out that way, probably because of the falling out between Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) and the sapphire manufacturer. But now the rumor is that the iPhone 7 will fill the deficiencies of iPhone 6, including the sapphire glass.
The Chinese government has signed a deal with Foxconn Technology Group, which is a large manufacturer of Apple’s products. According to the deal, the company will make a sapphire manufacturing factory near the iPhone 6 assembly plant, in order to produce sapphire on a large scale for the upcoming iPhones. iPhone 6 and iPad air 2 has sapphire on its home button and camera lenses. Introducing sapphire for the screen would give iPhone 7 an ultimate edge.
According to recent updates, the iPhone 7 will be loaded with a quad core A8 processor packed with 256 GB internal memory and a rear camera of 14MP while 4 MP front camera. These are significant updates from the predecessor iPhone 6. It’s too soon to be talking about the iPhone 7 as Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is still enjoying the iPhone 6’s success. Sales from iPhones and iPads are expected to go up once the holiday season sets in.
The iPhone 7’s camera will be its biggest update. There has been a lot of talk in the market regarding the overhaul of the overall camera result. Not that the camera result wasn’t good before, it’s just that Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is keen upon its perfection. The aim is to take the camera’s quality and match it with a DSLR. The phone is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2015. Meanwhile, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is riding high on the success of iPhone 6 which has accounted for billions till now.
The only loophole Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has in its finance books is the waning category of iPad. Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is taking desperate measures such as offering price cuts on the about-to-be-released iPads. Usually Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) doesn’t offer any price cuts on the products that haven’t been released yet but this time it’s a matter of saving the whole category. Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) expects that the holiday season will improve the iPad situation and the overall finances will boost twofold.
We can vouch for the iPhone sales but the iPad series is in a bit of a jeopardy and that may be an underestimation, it’s actually on the verge of diminishing. But Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is known for its strategic genius, so we bet Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) will find a way out to revive the iPad series. As for the iPhone 7, one thing we can say for sure is that it’s going to be humongous and will change everything we’ve known about iPhones so far; in fact it will be revolutionary in the smartphone market.
