Android 5.0 Lollipop Developed by Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is the Latest Version of Mobile Operating System
This runs on Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOGL) play edition devices including Nexus and at the Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOGL) I/O developer’s conference, it was first unveiled by the name of Android L. Lollipop was officially announced by Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) on October 15th 2014 with its first release on Nexus 5 and Nexus 6. On November 3rd the source code for Lollipop android was made available for the general public by Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) officially. According to President and CEO of LG’s Electronics Mobile Communications Company Jeong Seok Park LG pledges to bring android Lollipop 5.0 to G3 owners as soon as possible.
Making it their top priority, he vowed to provide their customers with the best experiences available. He added that the company will bring new features and modifications to the existing android lollipop 5.0 software to make it better, giving the G3 users a whole new experience. After Motorola’s bombshell of using lollipop for its 2014 motoX, now LG has joined the competition and has beaten out Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Nexus in getting the update for its latest android version.
The update will be launched this week in Poland, followed shortly by other key markets. According to the CEO they don’t have any news for other countries or regions yet. But added: that the company also plans to upgrade other LG products as well. More news is expected to come soon regarding its lollipop upgrade in the local market. The LG G3 owners can manually check for updates on their devices by going through settings to their system update to check now options.
Since the update is a new release it is going to take some time, probably a whole month, to get to the market. The company is confident that this upgrade initiative will content and satisfy their loyal customers. It would be the first original equipment manufacturer of Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) to release the new android Lollipop 5.0 to its devices and if LG runs a strong marketing campaign over the air on Monday, they have a chance to penetrate the market and overtaking the unique distinction of Nexus series devices.
They are scheduled to be updated only after 12th November as Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) postponed its release which was planned earlier this week because of some bugs and errors and due to fast battery drainage on activation in some nexus devices. The new operating system android 5.0 lollipop has been designed with an over hauled design, exclusive material and language design bringing in interactive user interface.
It also has an appealing graphic interface with sharp colors and typography, tactile surface, fluid animation modifications replacement of darvik with ART for performance enhancement which LG claims to have upgraded for its G3 users. The competition has been hardened after Motorola’s announcement of its operating system. Android 5.0 lollipop’s release for its costumers on its MotoX Gen2 Pure edition, Motorola advised its costumers to upgrade their phones with the new software and give the company their feedback.
However LG Germany has already confirmed that LG G2 will get Lollipop some time after G3.
